Are we really the nation who think we are? Being under the hands and influences of colonizers and being a colony by three different countries, we cannot deny the fact that some parts of our history were more miserable than what is told on the articles that we read. Some events may be altered to look like the colonizers were not that cruel to us and even some of them helped us build our nation. There are false truths that were continually passed down to every generation due to the very reason that the knowledge shared to earlier generations were also false truths. Nevertheless, there were some who were brave enough to uncover the truth about our upbringing and we must thank them as they enlighten us on who we really are and what events were hidden away to cover some important parts of our history.
