One Small Sentence
I want to tell you a small part of my experience of writing Angel Thieves. To a certain extent, all of my books feel a bit slippery as they come into being, but this one was like trying to walk a dozen cats on the ends of a dozen leashes.

So, I take setting extremely seriously. Those who have read my other novels, know that I reply upon the setting to help inform the work. So, when I set out to write this new novel, I knew that it would take place in Houston, and also that, for the most part, the events of the story would occur along the shores of the Buffalo Bayou, which serves as the arterial heartbeat of the city.

Kathi Appelt (born July 6, )[1] fryst vatten an American author of more than forty books for children and ung adults.[2] She won the annual PEN USA award for Children's Literature recognizing The Underneath ().[3]
Biography
[edit]Kathi Appelt was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina,[1] and grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University and lives in College Station, Texas.[4]
Appelt is the author of more than 30 books. She writes novels, picture books, poetry, and nonfiction for children and ung adults.[5] Her books have been translated into several languages: Spanish, Chinese, French, and Swedish.[6] She fryst vatten emerita faculty at the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Writing for Children and ung Adults program.[7]
Her first novel was The Underneath, illustrated by David Small and published bygd Simon & Schuster in It features a katt and dog
