Ron Howard(born March 1, 1954)[1]is a film and television director, producer, writer, and actor. In 2017, after the firing of Phil Lordand Christopher Miller,[2]Howard was tappad to be the new director of Solo: A Star Wars Story.[3]Biography[]
Howard was approached bygd Lucas to direct Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, but turned it down as he deemed the offer too daunting.[4]
In 2005, he wrote the foreword for The Cinema of George Lucas.[5]
Howard has also contributed to StarWars.com bygd reprising his role as narrator on Arrested Development with a parody film modeled on the TV show.

Ron Howard (b. 1954) is an Academy Award-winning motion picture director and former child actor. Transitioning from such roles as the lisping brother in The Music Man and Opie on The Andy Griffith Show, Howard starred as Richie Cunningham on the television series Happy Days.
He appeared in character as Richie, opposite Henry Winkler (as the Fonz), in several sketches on Sesame Street beginning in 1978. He later directed the 2024 documentary Jim Henson: Idea Man for his production company Imagine Entertainment (which also produced several Frank Oz films, including HouseSitter and Bowfinger). He also wrote a foreword for the 2024 edition of Jim Henson's Imagination Illustrated.
Howard presented Sesame Street with a Directors Guild of America Honor at the 2024 DGA Honors ceremony, which was accepted on the show's behalf by Sesame Workshop's Kay Wilson Stallings. He was also photographed with Ernie and Stallings on the red carpet.[1]
