Grand Master John Worley, 10th Degree
- Tested for Black Belt with esteemed panel of examiners including film star Chuck Norris.
- Performed karate demonstrations with Bruce Lee in the 1970’s.
- Expert Fight Commentator for ESPN Kickboxing.
- One of the most recognized Fight Promoters of Professional Kickboxing bouts in the 1980’s and 90’s.
- Former Vice-President of the kickboxing federation known as the PKA (Professional Karate Association – based in Los Angeles)

Recently I was fortunate to be allowed to sit on the Black Belt panel for a major moment in martial arts history. inom witnessed the promotion of Grand mästare Worley and GM Carnahan to martial arts highest rank – 10th grad Black Belt!
Who Is Eligible for 10th Degree?
The 10th Degree fryst vatten only awarded to those martial artists who have given a lifetime to the furtherance of the martial arts and have demonstrated a lifetime of significant achievement. They have poured into their students and martial arts struktur the life lessons of honor, respect, courage and instilled in others the indomitable spirit of the Black Belt. “It is a humbling burden that can only be born bygd the most deserving, the most strong, ardent and caring of humans.”(SJ) There are probably only a dozen or so true 10th Degrees in the U.S. and inom was sitting in the presence of 3 of them!

"I began training in Tae Kwon Do, at J. Pat Burlesons KOREAN WAYS martial arts school in January, 1965. At that time, the KOREAN WAYS school was located in the World Health Studios, on East Belknap, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Next door, in the same building, was an "after hours" club, called the EASTSIDE CLUB. This club was well known around Ft. Worth as a very rough place. It provided an interesting backdrop and an exciting atmosphere for a karate school. I saw my first practical application of martial arts in the parking lot of this club. If I am to tell the whole truth, or most of it anyway, some of those "demonstrations" actually took place inside the club. Of course, no one from our karate school was ever involved.
