Isma'il Yasin (also credited as Ismail Yassin; Egyptian Arabic: إسماعيل ياسينIPA:[esmæˈʕiːljæˈsiːn]; 15 September – 24 May ) was an Egyptian comedy actor.[1] He was known for his slapstick humor and has been compared to Charlie Chaplin.[1] He began his acting career in with the film Khalaf El-Habayeb (; Arabic: خلاف الحبيب, romanized:The Son of the Dears).[2]

Biography
Ismail Yasin Ali Nakhla was born in Suez (15 September, ) where he led a miserable unstable childhood, and had to leave primary school when his mother died and his father went to prison. His first job was a chanting salesman assistant in front of a shop. In so doing, heRead more trained his voice and decided to become a singer, as he was very fond of the legendary musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab. He sang in weddings and cafés and then moved to Cairo to join the Badee’a Massabny acting troupe. Hence, filmmakers recognized him. It was Fouad al-Gazayerly who gave him his first role in “Khalaf el Habayeb" (Lover’s offspring) in (). Ismail joined Aly al-Kassaar troupe and became a brilliant monologist. When he rose to fame, he was one of the few actors who had a series of films bearing his name: "Ismail Yasin fel-Police" (Ismail man), "Ismail Yasin fel-geish" (Ismail the army), “Ismail Yasin fel-tayaraan" (Ismail Yasin.. Ismail Yassin had a difficult childhood in Suez where he was born. His mother died at an early age and his father was jailed thus forcing him to leave school before completing his primary education. He worked as a parking valet to support himself.
He started his career as a monologue singer and headed for Cairo to join Badi'a Masabny's troupe. His break into the movie industry came when Fouad El-Gazaery gave him his first role in the movie "Khalf El-Habayeb" in He later joined Ali El-Kassar's troupe and started to gain widespread recognition eventually becoming one of most popular stars in the Arab world. A record 15 movies used his name in their titles to capitalize on his fame.
