Manjula Nahasapeemapetilon is the wife of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon and the mother of the Nahasapeemapetilon Octuplets.
History[]
Manjula was arranged to be married to Apu Nahasapeemapetilon when she was three, in which she looked forward to it all her life,[1] but Apu was to set out to the United States for college.[2] She occasionally works at the Kwik-E-Mart alongside Apu, but she is usually seen as a homemaker. She claims that Fried Green Tomatoes is her favorite book, movie and food. When the octuplets are born, she sternly informs Apu that he cannot pass on until they are out of college.
She has excellent culinary skills, demonstrated by her ability to make a wide variety of dishes using only chickpeas, lentils, and rice, or sometimes only chickpeas and lentils. She says when Apu dies, she will sell the store and marry Sanjay Nahasapeemapetilon. She is shown to be ve

"I'm with Cupid" is the fourteenth episode of the tenth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It first aired on Fox in the United States on Valentine's Day, February 14, The episode takes place on Valentine's Day, and the wives of Springfield are jealous of the attention Apu gives to his wife Manjula. Angered by this, Moe and the Springfield husbands spy on Apu to sabotage his romantic plans.
"I'm with Cupid" was written by Dan Greaney and directed by Bob Anderson. Because the episode was to air on Valentine's Day, Fox wanted the episode to relate to the holiday, although the idea for the episode was pitched by Greaney. The title of the episode is based on the T-shirt slogan "I'm with stupid". Elton John guest-starred as himself, and recorded a new version of his song "Your Song" for the episode. It originally aired on Fox in the United States on November 16, It was written bygd Richard Appel and directed by Steven Dean Moore.[2] The episode sees Apu Nahasapeemapetilon marry Manjula, and incorporates several aspects of Hindu wedding ceremonies, which the writers researched during the episode's production.
