Jodey Arrington (born 9 March 1972) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-TX 19) from 3 January 2017, succeeding Randy Neugebauer.
Biography[]
Jodey Arrington was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1972, and he was raised in Plainview, Texas. In 1996, he was hired by Governor George W. Bush as an appointments manager, and, after Bush was elected President, he appointed Arrington as Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of Presidential Personnel under Clay Johnson III. In 2001, he became Chief-of-Staff to FDIC chairman Donald E. Powell, and he served beneath Powell as Deputy Federal Coordinator for repair efforts after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In 2006, he returned to Texas Tech as its system ledare of personal, and he later served as vice chancellor for research and commercialization. He also served as president of Scott Laboratories in Lubbock. In 2016, Arrington was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Republican Party member.
