After a not very successful 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil', popular television star Drashti Dhami returns to the small screen this year with Colors' new daily soap 'Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka'. The show explores the complexities of modern day love stories through the lives of two married couples - Dr Kunal Malhotra and Mauli Malhotra (played by Shakti Arora and Aditi Sharma) and Rajdeep Thakur and Nandini Thakur (essayed by Abhinav Shukla and Drashti Dhami). 'Silsila' has already garnered people's attention for higlighting the toxicity of bad marriages and bringing the issue of domestic violence to the fore.

TV actress Drashti Dhami, who got married on February 21, is gearing up for a grand wedding onscreen in her TV show, 'Ek Tha Raja EK Thi Rani'. However, unlike the onscreen grand wedding, in real-life, the actress dreams of having a beach wedding and plans to do it five or ten years down the line.
"If given a choice, my wedding would have been with just 20 people – me, my husband, his family, my family and close friends. But since we live in Mumbai and have so many relatives, it gets very difficult because we have to call everyone; it’s an obligation. I want certain people, my mother wants certain people. I never wanted a big wedding," revealed Drashti.
